The Palmetto Palace is a non-profit 501 (c) t3 organization dedicated to providing care, comfort and support to families of critically ill inpatients hospitalized at local hospitals in Charleston, S.C. with a particular emphasis on the indigent, medicaid eligible persons, and military personnel.
While this organization is new the need to assist families is not. The Palmetto Palace will host its 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala and Auction on November 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 1113 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, S.C. 29407.
Hosting this event will bring us closer to our ultimate goal ensuring that individuals in need of our assistance can be served. lt will help us provide vouchers for temporary shelter at local hotels, and provide food and transportation for those families who fall outside the guidelines for the three houses that currently supply such services in our area.
