This class is designed to get kids moving to music and understand ing different shapes that they make with the arms and bodies.  Come and bring your kids out and watch them grow through music and dance!

Since shows like “Dancing with the Stars”, “So You Think You Can Dance?” and “America’s Got Talent” have grown in popularity, parents across the country and throughout the world have decided it’s time for the youth of today to learn some grace, poise and a skill that’ll travel with them a lifetime.  Once upon a time Royalty were the only folks allowed to dance the Waltz and other timeless dances….well that time has come and gone!  This class is designed to give your child a sense of movement and timing along with the ability to communicate with the opposite gender in a way that only dancing can do!  Carolina Dancesport offers classes in many different styles so bring your kids in for an experience they’ll never forget!  Space is limited so register today.

Cha-Cha, Salsa, Rumba and the Tango are only a few of the dances covered in this Beginner’s Latin Class.  The C.D.S.C. Crew is ready to get your aspiring young dancers moving to the Latin beats!  Popular artists such as Marc Anthony, J-Lo and the Black Eyed Peas are some of the musicians that represent today’s Latin music influence.  Everyone is learning the Latin dances and so should your young ones.  Bring them to the Carolina Dancesport and see what all the buzz is about!

The Bronze 1 and 2 class will begin to develop the necessary skills to enable the students to look like accomplished dancers.  In this class you’ll focus on the Figures, Appearance,Partnership as well as the Expression associated with the patterns taught in the first half of the CDSC Bronze Program.  Our Bronze Program is allowable at all N.D.C.A dance competitions and is the most popular type of training we offer here at Carolina Dancesport!  Ask your teacher if you’re ready to take on the challenges presented in this class as the material taught as well as the technique is considerably more challenging.

The Newcomer Ballroom and Latin Classes will feature the most popular dances in the C.D.S.C. curriculum.  Dances taught will be Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Salsa, and Samba!  This is a favorite at the studio and always packed so contact the studio to find out how you can join the fun!

The Social Foundation is the program at CDSC that provides the basis for everything we teach.  This class will focus on the core principles that surround becoming a good, competent social dancer.  Students attending this class should expect a wide array of dances including Salsa, Foxtrot, Rumba and even Tango.  Good form is emphasized and introduction to new patterns will be part of this class as well.  Expect a good workout and enjoy the Social Foundation Class!

Flash Dance was such a huge success we decided to bring back the 80′s in this Intro to Jazz class…..no leg warmers or cut off tee shirts required, just a keen sense of the Big 80′s music will get your little ones moving and grooving to the oldies!  All kidding aside, this class gets our children accustomed to movement and stretching along with principles that will enhance their sense of balance and control.  Bring them to this class and they’ll be sure to have a “Rockin’ Good Time” with the Carolina Dancesport Crew!

Following the likes of Mikael Barishnikov and all the fab Swan Lake dancers, Carolina Dancesport offers a ballet class for the kids that’ll get them stretched and ready for the rigors of life!  They’ll learn fundamentals and techniques that’ll give then confidence, grace, poise and the confidence that only becoming a great dancer can bring!

Carolina Dancesport is having a “Studio Night” at the B.D.C. on this night.  It should be a great time so ask your teacher how you can be a part!
